Prayer Circle

We have had a prayer circle in our Church for many years but for the last year or so it has not been used.  That is a shame because in the past many people have found it incredibly comforting and strengthening to know that there are a number of people are praying for them.
So how does it work?  To start with it isn’t a meeting that you have to attend: a number of people simply agree to pray for other people.  It is called a circle because a message is passed from one member of the circle to the next until the message gets back to where it started.  We want a number of people from the Church who are willing to form the circle.  We will put their names up on the Prayer Board (just outside the kitchen).  Then anyone who wants prayer for themselves or family or friends can phone up anyone in the circle and ask that the name of the person wanting prayer should be passed around the circle. There are one or two rules:  first, any name or information that members of the Prayer Circle are told must be kept in the strictest confidence and secondly, if you want someone on the prayer circle to be skipped then tell the person you first contact and that will happen.
If you would like to be a member of the Circle please let me know by the beginning of January.

Prayer Group

The Prayer Group is another event that seems to have got lost, probably because we tried to hold it on the wrong day and at the wrong time, so I suggest we hold a very short prayer meeting each Sunday morning from 10am until10.15am in the Mary Wallis Prayer Room.
I will be there every Sunday morning and anyone who wants to come will be very welcome.  It will be very informal
